FAQs

Below are frequently asked questions for chain link fence.

  • How to fix a broken chain link fence?

Posts can be reset or replaced depending on the extent of damage. Chain link fabric can be spliced to remove the damaged section and replaced with new. We complete our repairs based on our customer's needs.

  • How can I keep my dog from getting out under a chain link fence?

Dogs can be quite clever, whether they are digging or simply pushing out underneath, we offer our customers an option for either bottom tension wire to run along the bottom of the fence to keep the fabric taut at the bottom. We also offer the option to install bottom rail along the fence for a stronger option.

  • How is an additional gate installed into an existing fence line?

Wherever you are wanting a new gate in existing fence, we are able to remove that existing section, put in a new terminal (gate) post, and then restretch the wire to the new posts. Then the new gate can be hung.

  • What gauge of wire do you use?

The smaller the number, the heavier the fabric; henceforth 9 gauge is heavier than 11 gauge. We recommend 11 gauge for residential jobs and 9 gauge for commercial jobs. Vinyl coated chain link is sold by the finish gauage. 9 gauge chain link vinyl coated has a thinner inner steel wire. It is considered 9 gauge once it has been coated.
